Throughout the years my house has always been the place where everyone meets for parties, special occasions, pool barbecues and get togethers. I love entertaining at my home but often times miss out on most of the fun. Like most hosts, I spend the majority of the gathering in the kitchen preparing the delicious food that my guests look forward to. I love planning and preparing a variety of foods and always enjoy watching my guests relax, catch up, and socialize all while enjoying amazing food. After everyone leaves, my wife and I often talk about the day and I realize I missed out on most of the socializing...this is the reason I created this business. I don't want you to miss another gathering. I want to take the planning, prep and cooking out of your hands and put it into my hands. I specialize in creating memorable intimate experiences highlighted with unforgettable food.

In 1995, Brian Isbell graduated from BOCES with a culinary arts degree at the top of his class, but instead worked in the railroad industry. Twenty-five years later, Isbell retired at 42 years old and launched his Personal Chef and meal prep delivery service at the beginning of 2020. Chef Brian now has a commercial kitchen on Milton Avenue in Syracuse and a staff of seven including wife Kim as his sous chef.
Isbell offers meal prep clients dishes like Pulled Pork Mac n’ Cheese, Pasta Fagioli, Jack Daniel’s Flank Steak and Spinach Strawberry Salad. His delivery drivers deliver to all of Onondaga County. His clients include busy families, as well as people ordering for their elderly parents or college-aged kids.
Menus are announced each Wednesday at 3pm and customers can order online. Meals are delivered the following Wednesday and placed in reusable cooler bags. There is no commitment to sign up for a subscription, but Isbell says he has many repeat customers. Customers can also pick up from their Milton Avenue restaurant in Syracuse on Tipp Hill. Baldwinsville, Cazenovia and Fulton locations are also available.
Isbell feels it is important to give back to the community as well. He has hosted over 14 girl scout troops at his restaurant to learn about cooking. Recently he gave an 11 year-old cupcake baker the chance to sell his product to meal prep customers and keep the proceeds from the sales to buy a new computer. Isbell said he wants to show young people the valuable skill of cooking just like someone did for him at that age.
For a Personal Chef Experience, Isbell can accommodate any dietary need such as gluten-free, food allergies, keto, vegetarian, and more. For the- meal prep menu, he allows customers to make a note in the order if they want him to leave off cheese or put gravy on the side. Customers call Isbell’s food “mouth-watering” and “the best meal we’ve ever had.” Others remarked on the excellent service and said Isbell’s In Home Personal Chef Experience was “the perfect way to celebrate.”
